Heavy Hitter Hot Sauce

I'm a person who takes hot sauce seriously, and currently have over 20 bottles of different hot sauces in my fridge, and these guys have started to dominate the rotation. Highlights, their Chipotle sauce with cherries is delicious and the hint of sweetness to balances the acidity, amazing addition to bbq rib sauce, and goes well with lots of other dishes. Their habanero garlic sauce is my staple with just the right level of kick, and pro-tip, it blends well with other sauces if you want a slightly different flavour profile but more heat. My favourite though is their jalapeño citrus sauce, which has totally transformed fish tacos for me, and which works in so many other dishes. It's packed with flavour, and if it doesn't have quite the heat you're looking for, add a little of the habanero garlic sauce to amp up the heat. I haven't tried their scotch bonnet sauce yet because they were out the first two times I bought their sauces, but I just got some and am excited to try it. (I still haven't tried their cayenne sauce, but only because I already have three open bottles of cayenne sauce in the fridge. I am looking forward to trying it soon though.)It's such a nice surprise to find a genuinely great local Toronto hot sauce maker, and if you like things spicy, these guys are a must try.

So I was out in Kensington Market and came across Heavy Hitter Hot Sauce. I wound up sampling each of the bottles, and then inevitably buying a gift pack. All of these sauces are AMAZING! There's such a great range offered that is good for all spice tolerances, and the blends offered are ACTUALLY all different tasting. They've cultivated a perfect balance so no ingredient outshines the other. Each sauce is delicious but my top sauce has to be The Sweet Science" (Cherry & Chipotle) which allows the tangy zest of the Chipotle to shine

Bought this one during the Christmas market at Nathan Philip square. Some reaper sauces lose the flavor as they get hotter but the blueberry in this one is right there from the start! It's so good. Recommend 100%

I thought I didn't like hot sauce until I tried Heavy Hitter Hot Sauce. This stuff is DELICIOUS! All the different kinds are flavourful, unique and with varying heat levels so there's something for everyone. Picking a favourite is impossible - I love them all! Special shoutout to Float Like a Butterfly though. Love how it's handmade in Toronto with clean ingredients too. This is definitely staying stocked in my fridge!!

My husband and I love the hot sauce we bought, we were at a Botanical event and surprisingly there was a table full of hot sauce and we tried their free samples and immediately bought two flavors.

Truly the best hot sauce out there!Gilles the owner worked very hard over the years to create 5 of the most amazing tasting hot sauces with the right levels of heat to enhance any meal.Every single sauce packs a huge punch of flavour but provides enough spice. The combinations are to die for!Highly recommend this not only to hot sauce lovers but to absolutely everyone. The common misconception is that this will be “too hot” but it is the absolute perfect balance.

I put hot sauce on everything, and I've tried almost every hot sauce from the supermarket. I have to say, hands down Heavy Hitter Hot Sauce is my favourite. After meeting the owner at a stand, I was inclined to try it and have been purchasing it ever since. I hope they expand their reach to mainstream grocery stores in the future! 10/10, their habanero is my favourite.

If I could give this house sauce a 10/5, I would! We bought the 5 pack and every single one of the sauces is so delicious. It’s full of flavour but also packs a good punch for the hotter ones, which we love! I often found other sauces to either just be hot or just have the flavour but Heavy Hitters nails the ratio for both perfectly. AND it’s clean of unnecessary ingredients we avoid at all cost. It’s the perfect hot sauce! And their team is just as awesome as their product! Absolute must try. My only issue with HH is that it doesn’t come in a 10L bottle so that I could just drink it!
